ABOUT THE PROJECT
Dolj, Olt, Mehedinti counties and Pleven, Vidin, Montana, Vratsa districts represent one of most undeveloped regions in their countries, and of EU-27, according to national and European statistics. The economic crisis negative impact is even more visible in these regions, where few investments in supporting business environment have been done and where a small number of enterprises became competitive on national and international markets
ACCED-COM project is developed in line with European vision, aiming to develop sustainable infrastructure and a coherent Strategy and action plan for supporting the competitiveness of sectors of local economy
General objective:
“Accelerating sustainable economic development of Dolj-Olt-Mehedinti - Pleven-Vidin – Vratsa –Montana cross-border area, through joint initiatives supporting innovation and quality of area’s products, services and technologies”
Specific objectives:
“Development of supporting infrastructure for increasing the quality of products, services and technologies of the cross-border area”;
“Development of strong cross-border cooperation for promoting quality through innovation and technology transfer, by harmonizing work and evaluation instruments, indicators, methodologies with the European ones, and by creating a network with comparable parameters”
Within the project, a series of joint activities will be implemented in order to achieve the proposed objectives. A virtual infrastructure for sustaining cross-border enterprises and their services will be created (Cross-border virtual Stock Exchange for services, technologies and brokerage), as well as a physical infrastructure for supporting quality of cross-border products (Study). Research activities, continued by the creation of a database will be the starting point for updating and correlating the “Cross-border Strategy for Innovation”with European and national strategies for innovation. Interactive activities such as online and in-class entrepreneurial training courses, workshops, brokerage events with exhibitions, international conference will increase the communication level of cross-border SME’s representatives and local authorities, as well as promote the regional products and services. All these activities will be sustained by printed materials, studies and guides which will be presented at the project events.
